An upside down country

Writer: André DelicataAndré Delicata

Malta under Labour has become an upside down country, one in which the opposite of what should be is the norm. Normality has long met its death.

It’s not normal to have a sitting minister and Prime Minister’s chief of staff who each own a company in Panama, companies that were each to be fed some €5,000 a day by the mastermind behind Malta’s biggest scam and the assassination of a journalist.

It’s not normal to have a sitting minister who is suspected of being involved in a bank heist.

It’s not normal to have a sitting minister who defends the alleged assassin of a journalist.

It’s not normal to have a bevy of sitting ministers indicted by a public inquiry to be responsible for the assassination of a journalist.

And it’s definitely not normal for people to support and vote for these ministers. People these ministers call idiots.
